Theme: Covers

Hello and good day/night.

I bring you a cover of Beirut's lovely Postcards from Italy by Florence and the Machine. I thought it'd be somewhat interesting to hear a big female voice singing this song. Now, here it is.
First, the original: Postcards from Italy - Beirut (Youtube video)
cover: Postcards from Italy - Florence and the Machine (Mediafire)

This other one is a cover of Whole Lotta Love by Nina Persson (of The Cardigans) and fellow Swedish band The Soundtrack of Our Lives. Again, a woman singing an originally male song, this one being a testosterone-driven Led Zeppelin song. It may not be the best cover as I personally am ignorant of Led Zep's music so I can't compare it with other versions, but I am a huge Cardigans fan, so of course I'd be biased and I'd go so far as (to) say Nina Persson doesn't normally sing like this and that it's the best Cardigans/non-Cardigans performance I've seen and heard her in.

Whole Lotta Love (cover).mp3 - Nina Persson + The Soundtrack of Our Lives (live)
Should you want to see the video for the live cover: Whole Lotta Love (cover) - Youtube
Led Zeppelin are watching in the front row. I'd be nervous if I had to sing this in front of the band who sang it first but I think Nina did pretty well.
