Three love songs

Lata Mangeshkar - Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya
Possibly the most famous song in the Mughal-e-Azam soundtrack, sung in a scene that still has the power, for me, to cut through years of accumulated cynicism: Anarkali defiantly announces her love for Prince Salim before his father, Emperor Akbar, knowing she is doomed. There're translations for the lyrics floating about online and this video has subtitles, but it omits the long instrumental opening. Sorry for the low volume of the rip -- try using MP3Gain.

The Brilliant Green - Rock'n Roll [buy]
Okay, so the lyrics are never going to win awards for profundity. Nevertheless, the Brilliant Green is strongly associated with a happy time in my life and my first partner, and this song is a warmingly romantic pop-rock number. Rather like tea.

Tribalistas - Já Sei Namorar [buy]
I call this a love song to life, and I don't think I'm too far off.
