I've always been a fan of Sarah Mclachlan's songs. They're usually very ethereal, and sometimes dark, but if there's a cover of her own songs that is filled with emotion, it's Evans Blue's cover of Possession. They're a great band definitely leaning more towards rock than pop, and I'm a fan of a lot of their original songs. Enjoy the cover!

Song | Possession
Original | Sarah Mclachlan on Fumbling Towards Ecstasy & .mp3 Link (Sendspace) &
Cover | Evans Blue on The Melody And The Energetic Nature of Volume & .mp3 Link (Sendspace) &

Another cover I simply adore is Panic at the Disco's cover of Tonight, Tonight, by The Smashing Pumpkins. I can never seem to find a good copy of it other than the one I have on DVD.

I feel sort of guilty - my first post to this community contains over an hour's worth of music! But of course the prompt was covers - and I am a huge cover lover. Next week I might not even have a suggestion, knowing me.

Unless noted, all links are to mediafire and are mp3s. )

I'd love to hear which ones you guys like - it'll help me picking songs down the road (and plus then I won't bother you guys with electronica if I'm the only one who likes it)

Have fun! And don't forget to support the artists!
